“Music was the beginning of everything.”

    I — Origins

As a young chorister with the Vienna Mozart Boys' Choir, I learned early how art, atmosphere and staging can shape what people feel. Concert tours took me through Europe, the United States, Japan and Singapore. Among the most formative experiences of those years remains my role in Franco Zeffirelli's legendary Carmen production at the Vienna State Opera — a world of light, stage, emotion and visual dramaturgy that has shaped my eye ever since.

Later I remained connected to the Mozart Boys' Choir on the organisational and management side. International productions such as Christmas in Vienna with Plácido Domingo and Dionne Warwick took shape in those years — projects in which music, aesthetics and emotional staging came together in a particular way.

    II — A Parallel Path

In parallel, my professional path unfolded over decades in international banking, leasing and real estate. After studying economics at the University of Vienna, I completed an MBA and a Master of Law and Economics at IMADEC University, with study periods at the University of Texas at Austin.

Many years were defined by responsibility, strategic decisions and international management. Photography remained present throughout — quietly in the background at first, later as an increasingly conscious form of observation and expression.

    III — The Photographic Eye

Today, what interests me most is the work with people.

I am drawn to the moment when presence, light, expression and staging begin to develop their own visual tension. I am not interested in the fast or the perfect image, but in photographs with atmosphere, depth and emotional resonance.

Music, stage and visual dramaturgy have probably shaped my eye more than any classical photographic rule. Much of my work therefore moves between fine art and editorial aesthetics — reduced, quiet and deliberately composed. Light plays the central role. It forms mood, alters perception, and often decides whether an image is merely seen or genuinely felt.

    IV — schopho

schopho is the result of this long evolution — shaped by art, international experience, people, emotion and staging.

    V — 2027

From January 1, 2027, I will work with selected national and international individuals, companies and couples on Executive Stories, Wedding Stories, as well as selected editorial and fine art projects.
